I have a friend who 'Always wins at Keno' when we go out to the bar. My hunch is that she's a gambling addict who hides her losses and overplays her wins :D THat's all part of the allure of gambling, these myths, luck, habits, superstitions, etc.

You still see it at casinos though where one person will sprint up to take a seat that's just been vacated instead of sitting at an identical machine that hasn't been played. either the video ones, actual pull machines, 'press to stop,' etc it's totally random on every play, and if you've lost 10 plays in a row, you don't have a higher likelihood of winning on your next play. THe games might have paid out over a certain amount of spins 30 or 40 years ago, but for all modern slot machines. All of the modern (~1970s and on) slot machines are random on every pull, so you have as good a chance of winning 3 spins in a row, then losing 97 consecutive pulls, as you do winning 3 times over 100 pulls equally distributed. I'm not really sure how pachislot or okislot will differ from traditional casino slot machines in Europe, Americas, etc, but at least for typical north american casino slots it's not the case that if a machine loses for 30-35 spins then it has a higher likelihood of winning on an upcoming spin.
